Nevada (pop: 800) (On the Highway from 1913 - 1921)

Nevada (pronounced Nuh VAY' duh) was laid out in 1852 by Jonathon Ayres and Joel Garrett along the railroad right-of-way and named after the territory to become the state of Nevada. The village incorporated in 1866 and was a thriving community until the demise of the Lincoln Highway and rail stops.
